VLADIMIR PUTIN PROMISED TO DEAL WITH THE EXHIBITION BUSINESS

The President of Russia plans to take measures to support the industry.

Last week, Sergey Voronkov, the head of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, addressed the head of the country with a request to support the development of the exhibition industry. He did it at the anniversary congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, where Voronkov heads the Commission on congress and exhibition activities.

The head of the RUEF reminded the President about the situation with the coronavirus and thanked the Government for the support. He also noted that the exhibition activity is an important part of both foreign and domestic economy of Russia.
Sergey Voronkov suggested to the President a number of measures for the development of the industry, which will facilitate the participation of foreigners in Russian exhibitions, including:

  • The introduction of Expo ID similar to sports FAN IDs;
    introduction of Expo Tax Free for foreign participants of the events;
    mutual recognition of certificates of vaccination of other countries.
    Vladimir Putin promised to carefully study the situation in the industry and the proposals of its representatives and to do everything possible to support the industry.
